I live in Texas, grew up in the Midwest, and if we’re discussing roots, am originally from Europe. I love reading classics, especially Russian literature. I talk about food incessantly. I collect modern postage stamps. I am fond of rocks (which my yard abundantly provides), weeding, and generally avoiding snakes and fire ants while gardening.
A college essay posed the question of what my personal motto would be, and this has puzzled me since. A life motto? A daily mantra? A five year plan? I like the following concoction: “Some admire, others desire, but few actually acquire.”
